Vibrant bar interior with shelves of spirits and colorful decor

MONTROSE BLVD.

This one belongs to Montrose. Houston's artsy, eclectic, anything-goes corner, and a room that fits right in: rotating art on every wall, sci-fi hallway, plants creeping in.

A neighborhood cocktail bar at 4500 Montrose Blvd with ironclad pizza, handmade drinks, happy hour every day from 4 to 6, and kids welcome till 9. Park out back, order at the bar, and settle in.

Next door there's Endless Bummer, a wild, goth-tropical room built by the artists behind Houston's Meow Wolf. Cheap drinks, a photo booth, the kind of space you wander into and lose track of time. Poke your head in, 5 to midnight, Thursday through Saturday.
